Heleen Sonneveld works as a coordinator translational research at the Department of Pediatric Pulmonology (UMC Utrecht) and the Regenerative Medicine Center Utrecht (RMCU). Her focus lies in maintaining and developing several biobanks, so their contents can aid in high-quality research projects. To achieve this, Heleen supports researchers in making and filing release protocols for materials in the biobank and coordinates the logistics around donor inclusion in the biobanks, among other things. With a master’s degree in Biology, she is very interested in the (molecular) research done at the RMCU. Previously, Heleen worked as a clinical research employee in the UMC Utrecht, which gave her useful contacts within and knowledge of the hospital. In her spare time, she likes to play the cello, sew, listen to podcasts and play games with friends and family.
