Sowmya Shreedhar is an environmental microbiologist who has worked in multidisciplinary research groups in the field of plant science, geotechnology, climate change, and water management. After graduating with a Master’s in Biotechnology, she received PhD from Yenepoya University in India on bacterial mediated uranium biomineralization in 2014. Later, Sowmya worked as a postdoctoral researcher in India, Portugal, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands. After about 6 years of post-PhD research experience, she found her interests at the crossroads of science and management. Presently, as a coordinator of CLT, Sowmya strives towards building a vibrant Living Technologies community within the EWUU alliance.
