The Laboratory of Microbiology at WUR has broad experience in working with anaerobic microbial systems. The lab hosts: anaerobic cultivation pipelines, anaerobic chambers for molecular and biochemical work, and anaerobic bioreactor setups. At the CLT we aim to develop and study anaerobic microbial synthetic communities, with a focus on understanding microbial interactions. The center aims to innovate and expand the anaerobic infrastructure (e.g high-throughput cultivation and analysis techniques), develop tools for microbial community control, and promote the development of multi-organism biotechnological applications.
