Disease model screening and analysis

The disease model screening and analysis facility serves as a centre for expertise for the development and use of primary human cell systems (e.g. organoids) in culturing, screening, imaging, and quantification. It provides access to human disease models for diagnostics, drug discovery, and fundamental research. The use of large standardized Biobanks provides researchers the access to primary human cell systems. Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques are used for biomarker detection and increased screening performance and speed. Furthermore, FAIR data solutions, high performance computing (HPC) environments, and remote analysis workspaces (DRE – Digital Research Environment) play a crucial role in AI model development, data storage, sharing and analysis.
