The TU/e Molecular Engineering lab has a unique expertise in bionanotechnology, specifically the design and synthesis of macromolecular assemblies with unique control over the number of bioactive compounds. The Molecular Engineering lab has developed state-of-the-art pipeline for the construction of antibody functionalized DNA nanostructures which offer unprecedented insight on how antibody functionalized nanomedicines can block or activate receptors on the cell surface. The facility also performs fundamental studies on the function of these nanostructures in organoids.
