Anna Elizabeth George did her BS-MS integrated dual degree at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram for which she received an Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) government fellowship (2016-2021). Her MSc thesis was on the molecular biology of the kinetochore microtubule interaction during metaphase-anaphase. She was qualified for University Grants Commission-Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (UGC-CSIR) fellowship in India in 2019. Anna is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Utrecht University on exosome biology under the supervision of Dr. Frederik Verweij. Here, she works on unveiling the cellular mechanism of exosome secretion by designing synthetic molecular tools, with the final goal to elucidate extracellular vesicle mediated intercellular communication in health and pathology. In her free time, Anna enjoys baking, designing, and singing.
