Introducing the new robotic Screening lab for Living Technologies!!

With this robot, affectionately named Rosie, we will need less time for large-scale laborious cellular disease model experiments, and they will be more efficient and reliable. Senior scientist Sam van Beuningen coordinates this project and explains the benefits of having this laboratory; “Multi-well plates with cell cultures can be tested for a wide variety of conditions without having to do all the work yourself. This can save days of work, and through automation of the experiment, the risk of errors greatly decreases as well.”

The screening lab is part of the Centre for Living Technologies and hosted at the Regenerative Medicine Utrecht. It demonstrates the collective effort by the alliance TU/e, WUR, UU, UMC Utrecht (EWUU) to enhance research capabilities in the field of cellular disease models and therapies.
